Kam Amadari now has a desk in charge of a Section of Agency Investigators, who chase criminals misusing hypertemporal travel all across the plenum, but despite the promotion his job has only gotten a lot harder. Someone has just assassinated one of his Least Favorite People, and the matter gets a lot more complicated from there. Kam has to figure out who is kidnapping suspects and his supervisors alike, while he does his best to keep the perpetrators from finding out that he knows it’s all an inside job.
